With Fallaen, his first album at age of 24, Roland established a new genre: Celtic jazz. He is also known for his innovative pipe band music, with the Kevrenn Alre, his work with Alan Stivell, the re-forming of the National Breton Orchestra with his biniou-bombard-drum trio... From the highland pibroch to Charlie Parker, from 52nd Street blues to traditional clarinet groove, Becker breaks barriers and establishes a style one can only call 'Becker'. His late albums « Kof a Kof : Café Breton » and specially « Monsieur Kerbec et ses Belouzes » show a unique traditional-java-jazz-circus music as it was usualy played in Brittany during the 30's, 40's and 50's.
