Barzaz has marked the History of Breton music as it will remain as a top-band, an inspiration for a whole new generation of Breton musicians. With an amazing purety thanks to Jean-Michel Veillon's transverse flute, they enchant all listeners with a wonderful balance of traditional and modern instruments. Of course there also is Yann-Fañch Kemener whose voice can't dear any comparition, Alain Genty with his fabulous bass guitar and high quality of arranger, Gilles Le Bigot who is one of the guitarists needed to have an excellent folk Breton band and David 'Hopi' Hopkins who brings a touch of exotic music with his congas, didjeridu, bombo... For anyone having some interest in Breton music, Barzaz can't be missed !
