BARON & GHESQUIÈRE

The 'bombard and organ' duo is something of a challenge. These are two diametrically opposed instruments: the organ is classical and the bombard traditional. To blend the both is demanding.
They follow in the footsteps of such distinguished musicians, including Dorig le Voyer and Jef Le Penven (1942-43), Etienne Riwaellan and Le Sauleux (1957-58), and more recently Jean-Claude Jegat and Louis Yhuel, famous in the 1970's.
These two inspired and sensitive musicians have recorded the extraordinary diversity of this unique blend of instruments. The range, subtlety and fine nuances of the music are all here.

Jean Baron also recorded bombard & biniou koz albums mostly with Christian Anneix but also with Georges Epinette.
