BARON & EPINETTE
It was at Gourin in 1972 that Jean Baron and Georges Epinette heard Yann Magadur, one of the all time greatest Breton pipers, for the first time. They were so impressed, they decided to copy his style. Two years later, with music from Magadur's repertoire, they became champion duettists at Pluvigner and Breton Champions at Gourin. They recorded an album as an homage to the man and his music.
Jean Baron also recorded a bombard-ocarina-organ album together with Michel Ghesquière but he mostly plays with Christian Anneix for 26 years now.
